Xbox 360: Disneyland Adventures (Kinect)

Can I point out how much of an underrated game this is? This is one of my all time favourite games for the Xbox 360 and I always highly recommend it to families that love Disney.
If you’re a huge Disney parks and film freak like me, then this is the ultimate video game for you. No joke.
You use to Kinect (which is a camera for your Xbox 360 that detects your body, so you can control the game by using your hands, arms, jumping, dancing, ducking down..)
You get to walk/run around Disneyland, hug the characters, collect autographs from all of them, ride the rides (most of them have a level built into these, so you have to jump over obstacles, duck under things, move left and right to avoid stuff) and you can do whatever you like! Not to mention, that there’s also Hidden Mickeys in this game. Snap the camera out and away you go!

I really have no idea how this game wasn’t more popular? I have had this game for 3/4 years now and I still absolutely love it. There’s so much to the game and I have only completed about 50% of the achievements and I have been on here for hours!

My only problem that yes, it’s a Kinect game but I get so addicted to playing this game that my arms are in agony from all of the hours that I am playing it! You need to lift your arm and move it left and right to walk, and I am aching the next day but really feel the need and addiction to carry on collecting autographs and hidden mickeys! That is a sacrifice I am willing to take!

Have you played this? I’m so sad that this isn’t going to be reverse compatible with the new Kinect for the Xbox One but this is a game that makes me want to keep my Xbox 360 in the works!

VLOG: New Zealand Pt. 1

I have finally got my hard drive working again and have put together a short video of some New Zealand footage I have! Expect a few video this week as I have so much footage from NZ, and I’ll be doing a separate video for Hobbiton and Franz Josef probably!

Enjoy!

Skiing at Cardrona

Getting back onto the travelling post, catch ups..

Whilst I was still in Queenstown, I decided to go skiing for the first time in my life! I have always wanted to try it, so I booked to have a lesson and it was so much fun!

Cardrona was such a beautiful place and made me feel all christmassy, although I did get a tiny bit sunburnt from the snow reflecting the sun!
The lessons were 3 hours each, and we had two of them. We learnt how to stop, put on our skiis, how to navigate, how to climb up a hill..

Eventually, we went up the small magic carpet (not the ski lift, this day) and got the chance to go down some steeper hills.
To be honest, I am not that good and not too confident whilst throwing myself down the hills haha but with some practice I will get better and a lot more confident!

The only downside to skiing is that the boots are SO PAINFUL! I came home from skiing with a long ling of blisters going across my right ankle which was pretty disgusting and very painful haha but it was definitely worth it!

Here are a few photos, and a link to the video when Mandy caught me falling over whilst going down a hill!

Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam, here we come! *queue James Bond theme tune*
We had some amazing scenery to take in on the drive from Las Vegas – it was a short drive (about 45 minutes) but super hot outside!

First stop, the ‘monuments’? I’m not too sure what these are called, without guessing.. but they say that if you rub the statues feet, it’s good luck! So away I went, rubrubrub!IMG_4204
The views were incredible of the Hoover Dam. I literally felt like I was in a James Bond film, there and then! And I did not stop humming the theme tune either, which probably irritated every single tourist there.IMG_4212 IMG_4236
I don’t have much too say really as the photos speak for themselves – but the Hoover Dam is MASSIVE.IMG_4239 IMG_4245 IMG_4251
Where Hoover Dam is situated, it turns out that it is sat on the border of two time zones. Nevada Time and Arizona Time!IMG_4264
Next, we went down into the Pump Stations of the Hoover Dam which were really interesting and you could hear the hundreds and hundreds of litres of water flushing through the pipes!IMG_4280 IMG_4282 IMG_4283

Do you recognise this from the Goldeneye opening? What other films do you remember this from?

Lake Mahinapua

We stopped at Lake Mahinapua for the night, which was one of the most beautiful places I have seen in New Zealand – although, there are quite a lot, so it’s definitely in the top 5!

But we stayed at Lake Mahinapua Hotel which was a really cute place which had piglets and a massive pig that you could feed, a puppy and a kitten! They also cooked us an amazing roast dinner and pancakes for breakfast, I felt like I was in heaven haha! It’s not very often that we get people cooking for us, or even a half decent meal whilst travelling!

We went for a walk to the lake and it was so beautiful there! A lot of the boys, mainly the Dutch boys were jumping into the lake from the pier – it looked freezing..
We took some incredible photographs and the mountains looked stunning when the sun was setting!

I also decided to try and take a photo of the moon with my camera, for some random reason and I was pleasantly surprised!

I have also added some photos of the glaciers, when we were leaving Lake Mahinapua and on our way to Franz Josef – it was too beautiful at Lake Matheson too! (I will insert some photos here, too). I also tried some L&P here too (famous lemonade made in New Zealand!).

Instead of rambling on, I am just going to post the photos here and you can see how stunning it was there.

Where is the most beautiful place you have been to?
