Doctor Who Experience

A super short post here!
I went to the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff with my university for a day out and it was such a blast, even if you don’t know a massive amount about Doctor Who (like myself) – I still had such an amazing time and saw so many of their iconic pieces here!

The experience itself was brilliant too – you are sent on a journey to help the Doctor save the planet, this is all interactive and you even have to walk through some Weeping Angels in order to complete this!

Here are a huge jumble of the images I took, feel free to send me a comment if you have any questions about this!
Here I’ll leave the link to the Doctor Who Experience website too! ūüôā

Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

Ok, so I have heard a lot of hype around this book (& now the series) and I wasn’t too sure what I was going to think about this.
I actually loved this book! I was surprised at how drawn in I was to this, from the moment I started reading – I could not put it down! I ended up reading it in 2 days and it did not disappoint at any point.

Now I am looking forward to reading the second and third (and then wait for the film to come out!).
Another great little detail about this book, is that it is set in Walesrepresent!

If you haven’t read this book yet, it is about a small home in North Wales where ‘Peculiar Children’ stay. They are all different, some have powers, some have odd appearances but there is a reason why they are kept away and there is a big twist but I feel like I cannot say, as it will pretty much ruin the whole book!

I would definitely recommend picking up this book, and I have heard that Tim Burton is going to be directing the film, if I think correctly?

Have you read this or the series? Show me your love or hate for this!

Milford Sound

Oh my, Milford Sound is one of the most beautiful places in the world! I absolutely adored it here, even just being on the bus, it was gorgeous outside! The weather wasn’t great on the way down, but that did not matter at all. It’s New Zealand, everything is beautiful!DSC03828
(This is from the Lake Of Reflections – which didn’t really reflect due to the weather).
On the way to Milford Sound, we stopped at a service station that had Alpacas and we were allowed to feed them. As I am a complete animal lover, I was in my element and was a huge highlight of the journey, too! Although, they do like to spit on you, which I experienced a few times..

Luckily, when we got to the dock to go on a small cruise through Milford Sound, the weather perked up a lot and was so sunny!

Also, another highlight of Milford Sound was the fact that a Welsh man discovered it and named it Milford Sound after his hometown in Wales, Milford Haven (which is a bit of a dump). But still, those proud Welsh feels came out!

Here, is also where they filmed scenes from Wolverine, where he jumps off a waterfall – TRUE STORY, THAT!

Anyway, I think the photos speak for themselves!

So, let’s catch up on my life!

What have I been doing recently? I’ve disappeared for a while on the blogging front as I got so busy!
I have now finished work for good, got a new job which I’ll reveal after I’ve done it as it’s only for three weeks and now I’m just enjoying Sydney whilst I’m still here!

We have had birthday parties in the park with speakers, food and lots of glitter.
Even more birthday parties, with lots of cake.
Group gatherings at work, which makes me miss the people that I worked with – going to miss them lots!
Found some really cool places with amazing food!
I went to Melbourne for two days for a job interview, got the job and had a browse around there too! (Blog post and video to come!)
And then this morning, me and Ceri went to watch the Six Nations at 7am – sadly Wales lost, but it was still a good shout and a lot of fun!

Have any of you been doing anything fun recently? Let me know!
Show me some photos, especially of your seasons as everyone seems to be having different weather everywhere recently!
