March Favourites

So, somehow another month has passed by which means it’s time for another monthly favourites!
I was so busy in February that I completely forgot to do a favourites and when I did, it was already March.. so here’s a March Favourites instead!
I am going to save the blabbing this time and just get stuck right into it.

So let’s dive in..
My first favourite of the month of March certainly has to be Netflix. I have finally re-entered the fabulous world of Netflix and wowie, there are so many incredible shows for me to catch up on! There is nothing better than jumping into bed early to catch up on Netflix and munching on way too many Minstrels! I have written a post on What I’m Looking Forward to on Netflix 2017 (This might feature 13 Reasons Why – which is another monthly favourite for me! Hype hype!) for you all to check out, if you need some inspiration!

I was so fortunate to attend a Netflix Event in Cardiff last month, where there was a Netflix-filled apartment and we got shown all of the latest releases coming for 2017. Here is a link to that post, incase you want to give it a read: My Time at the Netflix Apartment.

My first favourite of March has to be the Nyx Brow Gel in the shade ‘Chocolate’ (seen in the photo above). Seriously, it is pretty tough to rub these bad boys off whilst I have this brow gel on my eyebrows! I was looking for a product that doesn’t wipe away easily like pencil or sometimes powder (I also have psoriasis, so I tend to scratch pretty often) and this product works a treat.
I apply this brow gel with an angled eyebrow brush from Real Techniques, I try not to apply too much as they can go a little too bold and dark for my face but if I apply carefully, they go with my hair colour pretty well.

You can purchase this from select Boots stores, so here is a link to the website for you to browse. I will most probably do an eyebrow tutorial on my blog using this product for you all soon! Let me know what you think about that.

My second favourite of the month has to be ‘Dear Amy’ by Helen Callaghan which I am currently reading. I haven’t finished it yet, but the storyline is so good and I got completely hooked on just the blurb which is just here:

“Would you risk your life to save a stranger?
Discover what happens next in the Sunday Times bestselling psychological thriller, Dear Amy . . .

A local schoolgirl has been missing for weeks when Margot Lewis, agony aunt of the ‘Dear Amy’ advice column, receives a letter:

Dear Amy,

I’ve been kidnapped by a strange man.
I don’t know where I am.

Please help me,
Bethan Avery

This must be a hoax. Because Bethan Avery is another young girl, who went missing twenty years ago.

As more letters arrive, Margot becomes consumed by finding the sender and – unlike the police – convinced that the girls’ disappearances are connected.

Solving this puzzle could save someone’s life – but could it also cost Margot her own?”

You can purchase this book from Amazon now!

My third favourite is Bath and Body Works ‘Twisted Peppermint’ foaming hand wash which is a Christmas Fragrance. I absolutely adore Bath and Body Works and I am so, so, so sad that there isn’t one in the UK (although, if there was, it would probably be expensive..) so when I go to America I go a little crazy on the hand soaps and antibacterials! I cannot get enough of them!

I was super excited as I have heard about the Christmas Fragrances that come out obviously over the Christmas period, but I have never been in America late enough for them to be released, so this Christmas I found them and I was super excited!
Unfortunately, I really wanted the Body Mist of this as it was really gorgeous but it was sold out completely in the store I went to and could not get my hands on it! Damn!

Anyway, this foaming hand wash is incredible. It has such a strong and lost lasting scent that stays on your hands afterwards and the bottle lasts ages too! (I went a little crazy using this, although I knew I’d regret it when it’s all gone..)
I would highly recommend these products and if you haven’t heard of Bath and Body Works then definitely give them a browse – there’s no doubt that you won’t find something that you will fall in love with!

I have also been loving The Library of Fragrance‘s scent in ‘Honeysuckle’. I purchased this from Boots for £10 (usually £15) with my Advantage Card points to treat myself and my, my, my.. this genuinely smells like actual flowers! Although, my boyfriend just comments ‘You smell like a bee’ (whatever a bee smells like.. but y’ano).
This company have so many different fragrances from Cinnamon, Marshmallow, Mint Ice Cream, Fresh Laundry and even Play-Doh.. that’s right, Play-Doh.. yummy?..

You can even mix and match scents, and they have a page that tells you which scents compliment each other whether you want to go warm, musky, bright and refreshing..

I’ll leave a link to their website here and also check out the Boots website as either one of the sites usually have an offer on!

So, that is all I have for my March Favourites at the moment. I hope you enjoyed and I would love to know what you have been loving this month too! Let me know down below!

Lush Cardiff Christmas Blogger Event

I was very lucky to get invited to Lush Cardiff‘s Christmas Blogger Event last week. I was so excited to have a nose at some of their previously amazing seasonal products and to see what’s new in store for this year!

There were bloggers in christmas jumpers, lots of festive music, vegan food and drinks which were to die for and every single thing in there smelt incredible!

We had the lovely Lorna show us around the store, giving us demos of a huge range of seasonal products such as Yog Nog, Christingle, Bubbly, Santa’s Belly..

*shown above: Santa’s Belly Shower Jelly – which contains nourishing Fresh Apple Juice, Star Anise Infusion which is Warming and spicy, Rose Absolute for the balancing and restorative element and Neroli Oil to uplift and tone.

Firstly, we got to try out all of the shower gels and cleansers and boy, are there some extremely amazing scents this year! I completely fell in love with a shower gel called Bubbly (which is a warm scent of grape, orange and lime) and Christingle which is a Body Conditioner that has an amazing minty scent to it (Believe me, I am so smooth, fresh smelling and tingly after using this in the shower!).

*First image: Snow Fairy Shower Gel and Lord Of Misrule Shower Cream.
Lord of Misrule contains warming and clarifying Black Pepper Oil, Patchouli Oil which is exotic but earthy, Vanilla Absolute and Organic Wheatgerm Oil which is full of nutrients!

We then got shown a few lip scrubs and lip tints, before moving down to the soap and bath section where things got even more interesting (& more glitter-filled demonstrations!).

Everyone was so friendly and amazing to talk to at the event and they provided us with so much information about the background of the products, the ingredients, what the benefits of the ingredients are..

Unfortunately it’s another 2 months until Christmas, so I’ll just have to try keep my festive spirit in for at least another month yet! Go ahead and check out the christmas range at!

So, a huge thank you to the lovely ladies at Lush Cardiff for this amazing event and we cannot wait to see the new Lush Spa that’s going to be opening!
What are your favourite Lush products? What is the best festive Lush product in your opinion?

Yankee Candle: Sparkling Lemon Review

Here is my new little bargain! If you’re like me and love Yankee Candles, you know that they’re super expensive and I burn through them pretty quickly! Luckily, I went into House Of Fraser after christmas and thought that they’d be selling off their Christmas candles – sadly not. But, the only candle that was reduced was this one! Sparkling Lemon. It smells so fresh and light, but not too overpowering. I would like it to give off a little bit more scent – but I still had a bargain as I picked this baby up for a cheeky £4!
So, if you’re near a House Of Fraser, then they might still have some random candles reduced! So it’s definitely worth a check!
What are your favourite scents at the moment? (Don’t make me too jealous though). x

Lady Million by Paco Robanne Fragrance Review

Yet again, this is another mature, evening scent! As you can tell, that’s what I like! It’s not too mature, but it’s almost a musky, floral scent? I am awful at describing scents, but so many people received this for christmas as Boots had an amazing offer on it – and almost everyone I’ve seen has loved it!

But don’t feel left out that you missed the offer! BEHOLD, Fragrance Direct as always, they have a ridiculously good offer on Lady Million at the moment! They are selling this fragrance, 30ml for £28.99! Here is the link: VOILAAA!

Are you going to get your hands on this?  Or maybe you’ve already got it? x

Victoria’s Secret Body Mists: Coconut Passion and Mango Temptation

I have seen these body mists EVERYWHERE on YouTube and blogs! These are from Victoria’s Secret and smell amazing – they have so many different scents, so there’s definitely a scent for everyone’s taste!
I went to Florida last summer and as usual, I always go into the Victoria’s Secret Outlet (they sell all of the normal priced fragrances too). They have ridiculous prices on bras at the outlet, and underwear can be around 5 for $10!
Getting back to the point, I wanted these for a while and saw that they were 5 for $30, which at first I thought was a little  pricey but these have lasted me SO LONG! Well, basically, these are only half full now and I’ve had them since the summer and I literally use them every single day.

I did purchase 6 items from the offer, but I gave one to my brother’s girlfriend and my mother pinched the second bottle of Coconut Passion! I also had the body lotion of Mango Temptation too, which smells amazing!

I cannot rave about how much I love these! I can’t wait to get my hands on more, and luckily you can buy them in the UK Victoria’s Secret stores – although they’re 5 for £30 which is super steep! But I’m still feeling like I would from the lasting time of them! Also – you’ll constantly be bombarded with ‘Oh, you smell nice!’ ALL. OF. THE. TIME!

US can get them here: HERE
UK can find them at Amazon: HERE

Have any of you tried these? If so, what is your favourite fragrance out of all of them? Do you think they’re worth the money? x

Vera Wang: Rock Princess Fragrance 200ml

This is the Vera Wang ‘Rock Princess’ fragrance. Here is a 200ml bottle, that I didn’t know existed, to be honest.
I received this perfume for christmas about 3 years ago and it easily became my favourite! I will use this in the evening, as it is a darker scent. They don’t sell this perfume in stores anymore, as I sadly came to find out when my 100ml bottle ran out – but luckily, I found this on Amazon for £19.99 and it’s twice the size of my old bottle!
I have now realised how hard it is to write a fragrance review on a blog – describing scents is so hard!
I would say that this perfume does not smell anything like her other scents, as I feel like her other ones are more everyday, floral, girly scents!

An added extra to this perfume, I didn’t know this for ages, but the crown at the top of the bottle doubles as a ring (if you have wider fingers than me!)

This perfume is a definite favourite, although I have recently discovered another two favourites of mine – Lady Million by Paco Robanne and See by Chloe. I will be posting reviews on these aswell!

What is your favourite perfume at the moment? xx
