Girl Online: Going Solo by Zoe Sugg Review

I have finally got around to catching up on some well-needed reading! So I thought I definitely needed to read Youtuber, Zoe Sugg’s Girl Online: Going Solo!

Girl Online: Going Solo is the third book of the series. The Girl Online Series starts with Penny, she meets a lovely American guy, falls in love with him and it turns out that he’s actually famous..
From there throughout the series, there is a lot of drama with gossip, press, friends, lifestyle changes..
Penny has to learn the hard way on how to deal with things, especially her anxiety too.

I feel like this book can really help people with issues such as Mental Health as it really expresses how someone else feels from their perspective when struggling with anxiety. Although they aren’t all the same, I feel like it does show an insight into how to treat people, how to assist if possible and maybe even inspire people to look into Mental Health to research in general!

I have really enjoyed all of the books so far, but I feel like this one was probably my favourite! I won’t say too much as it’ll spoil the content but if you’re looking for an easy but interesting read then look no further!

In this book, there’s more drama, loyalty and trust issues and even more love to come!

Have you read any of the Girl Online series? Which one is your favourite so far?
Let me know!

Lush Cardiff Christmas Blogger Event

I was very lucky to get invited to Lush Cardiff‘s Christmas Blogger Event last week. I was so excited to have a nose at some of their previously amazing seasonal products and to see what’s new in store for this year!

There were bloggers in christmas jumpers, lots of festive music, vegan food and drinks which were to die for and every single thing in there smelt incredible!

We had the lovely Lorna show us around the store, giving us demos of a huge range of seasonal products such as Yog Nog, Christingle, Bubbly, Santa’s Belly..

*shown above: Santa’s Belly Shower Jelly – which contains nourishing Fresh Apple Juice, Star Anise Infusion which is Warming and spicy, Rose Absolute for the balancing and restorative element and Neroli Oil to uplift and tone.

Firstly, we got to try out all of the shower gels and cleansers and boy, are there some extremely amazing scents this year! I completely fell in love with a shower gel called Bubbly (which is a warm scent of grape, orange and lime) and Christingle which is a Body Conditioner that has an amazing minty scent to it (Believe me, I am so smooth, fresh smelling and tingly after using this in the shower!).

*First image: Snow Fairy Shower Gel and Lord Of Misrule Shower Cream.
Lord of Misrule contains warming and clarifying Black Pepper Oil, Patchouli Oil which is exotic but earthy, Vanilla Absolute and Organic Wheatgerm Oil which is full of nutrients!

We then got shown a few lip scrubs and lip tints, before moving down to the soap and bath section where things got even more interesting (& more glitter-filled demonstrations!).

Everyone was so friendly and amazing to talk to at the event and they provided us with so much information about the background of the products, the ingredients, what the benefits of the ingredients are..

Unfortunately it’s another 2 months until Christmas, so I’ll just have to try keep my festive spirit in for at least another month yet! Go ahead and check out the christmas range at lush.com/products/christmas!

So, a huge thank you to the lovely ladies at Lush Cardiff for this amazing event and we cannot wait to see the new Lush Spa that’s going to be opening!
What are your favourite Lush products? What is the best festive Lush product in your opinion?

NYX Cardiff Blogger Event

So I was fortunate enough to get an invite to attend the NYX Cardiff Blogger Event at Boots last week.

The Boots store at St Davids has had a brand spanking new NYX counter for a few months and it’s been so chaotic there, especially with people after the Lingerie Lip Colours.

At the event, we were shown so many amazing new products, how to use them and I was treated to a cheeky little eyebrow tutorial from Jade who did an incredible job!
I am forever struggling to keep up with my eyebrow pencils running out on me and them wiping off after loads of activity BUT BEHOLD, Jade has found me a holy grail product – NYX Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate.

I cannot rave enough about this product, Jade claims that you can sleep with these on and they’ll still be there and my god, she is correct! I definitely put these to the test and was really pleased – also, the fact that you have to use the tiniest bit of gel to cover both eyebrows, it’s going to last me so much longer than my pencils!

The NYX Counter looks outstanding at St Davids and has such a huge range of different products always in stock. At the Blogger Event, there was also the chance to purchase a small number of eyeshadow palettes at a discounted rate which were incredible value for money!

The ladies hosting the event were so generous too by giving us a select few taster products to try out ourselves from brands such as The Body Shop, L’Oreal, Lancome and Vichy..
I’m still waiting to find the perfect time to try out a few of these products, so bare with me and expect to see some posts on what I think.

Obviously I couldn’t leave empty handed either, so I decided to pick up a few items so I went with the NYX Lingerie in ‘Push Up’ as I thought it would be work appropriate, NYX Stacked Mascara to give me some length to my lashes and also the Eyebrow Gel in ‘Chocolate’ which is out of this world! So look out for some reviews on these products – I’ll be posting them soon!

I want to say a huge thanks to the ladies at NYX Cardiff for all their hard effort and knowledge that went into the event. I had such an amazing time and cannot wait to see some future events from these ladies!
What is your favourite NYX product and why? I’d love to know!

I am returning to my blog!

That’s right, I have recently thought about getting stuck back into my blog!
I have so many great book reviews that I cannot wait to post, life updates and whatever entails after that! (as you know, I never limit myself to topics, I am a complete open book!).

Anyway, I thought that I would just write a super quick post to say that I am coming back to ramble at you all once more 🙂

Review: Girl Online On Tour by Zoe Sugg (Zoella)

Title: Girl Online: On Tour

Author: Zoe Sugg aka. Zoella

Purchase: Available in the UK and preorder for the US.

Overall Rating: 4/5

Great For: Young Adult

Themes: Travel, Romance, Friendship, Fame

Review: Here we go, the book that thousands of fans have been waiting for and it did not disappoint me either!
I had no idea what to expect when I read the first book released by Zoe Sugg (aka Zoella). Of course, I gave it a go and I was pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed the book! I thought that it was aimed at a younger audience than me, but I still enjoyed it no matter what and I felt the same about the second book, too!

If you have read the first book, it is a teenage romance story which completely gripped me and I didn’t want to put it down!

So, I had no idea where the next book in the series was going to go, but I actually really enjoyed it and was surprised that there were so many possibilities for another storyline! I don’t want to say too much on here, but I would highly recommend reading this one, if you enjoyed the first or even start the both if you are a Zoella fan!

The characters, I really connected with. The locations, I wanted to be at.
I just really enjoyed this!

The Movie Version by Emma Wunsch

How shall I film my TBR?!

Last night, I filmed a TBR when I had a private room as I would just get some really, really weird looks from people in dorms otherwise haha! But, after I filmed it, I absolutely hated my footage. I looked so awkward and nervous, not forgetting that my speech was all over the place. Sometimes when I’m doing a proper video and not a vlog, I can’t get my words out and then it really stresses me out.

So, I decided to wait and hold off on the video and went on a little advice rant instead. Clearly, this was before I had an anxiety freak out but I thought that I’d still post it anyway as it’s what I was thinking at the time.

So basically, I wanted to ask you guys if it would bother you, if I filmed my TBRs like a vlog? Obviously I will try not to move the camera around a lot, but I will just be holding the camera instead until I get more confidence at talking about the books I have read (as I’m not too great at explaining on the spot!).

Let me know and I’ll really appreciate your opinions on this!
Prepare to cringe at the video, because I most certainly do!
