Prosecco Flow Event

Myself and a few more of my incredible blogger friends were so kindly invited to Prosecco Flow’s Event. This is a one-off event where so many different and incredible brands come together to give us a night to pamper ourselves and have a great time.

The brands that were involved were Yogi Bare, Yume Cardiff, Nando’s, Ten Mill Lane, UFit Fitness, Pixies and Poppets and so many more!

We had such an incredible evening which started off with some RnB Yoga from Yogi Bare which was so refreshing to see and so enjoyable! We then moved onto getting our eyebrows tinted and waxed which was so great – especially as I have never had my eyebrows tinted professionally, so there’s always time for a first!

We then moved onto the Ten Mill Lane booth who made endless cocktails for us all which were so tasty it was unreal! What better to go along with amazing cocktails? Nando’s, of course!
Nando’s Cardiff were so kind to cook us up a whole bunch of amazing food from their stores and let us all loose!

Once we were all refilled and raring to go, we headed straight to Yume Cardiff’s stand where they did these incredible hair braids! I really wish I had the talent to do something like this myself and I apologise again to the ladies for having to battle my super thick hair! It looked so gorgeous in the end though and was well worth it!
They had so many different beauty therapies at Prosecco Flow, but we didn’t manage to get around all of them!

Afterwards, people got swiftly transported to Ten Mill Lane to carry on the night and party away after being pampered all evening. Unfortunately, I had work the next day so sadly I had to give this one a miss but I’m almost certain that everyone had a blast!

A huge thank you to Prosecco Flow for having us and we cannot wait to see if there are any more future events! Such a great idea to give the perfect Friday night and to combine so many different brands all at one time!

What’s on my Beauty Wish List?

Hello again, somehow it looks like another month has flown by and I thought that I should really do a ‘Beauty Wish List’ as I am constantly skint being a university student all over again and it’s a good opportunity as I haven’t had the money to just go out and purchase these! Some good can come out of it, I guess..

Let’s just get stuck right in, shall we?
MAC Prep + Prime Fix+
Number one is going to be MAC’s Prep + Prime Fix+ which is ‘A lightweight water mist that gently soothes and refreshes skin and finishes makeup.’ I have heard that this is very multifunctional and a really great all round product! Some people use it to get a dewy look after applying make up, to refreshen and moisturise the skin, to help make up cling on to the skin to last all day and finally, to enhance eyeshadow pay off (the main reason that I really want to try it!). There are plenty more uses for this product that you can find on many blogs and YouTube videos!

Here are a few that I found very helpful:

Too Faced Peach Palette
Next up is the Too Faced Peach Palette – yup, that’s right you have most probably seen this palette absolutely everywhere on Social Media from instagram, to snapchat, to blogs, to twitter.. EVERYWHERE!
Obviously there is a reason for this as it is so god damn beautiful to look at and accordingly, it smells like peaches too!
In my spare time, mainly when I am skint I enjoy doing surveys to get vouchers and I always redeem mine at Debenhams so I am definitely saving up for this bad boy!
You can get this from the Debenhams website for £39.00

Here are a few incredible instagram photos of this palette in all it’s glory:

Lush Bathbombs
This is always on my wish list, mainly because:
I do. not. have. a. bathtub.
I know, it is a very sad time.. A bath would make such a difference to my stress levels recently and I am just too excited to move into a new apartment in the summer with my boyfriend (where we have made an agreement – the apartment needs a bathtub).

The Library Of Fragrance
I have spotted these in Boots quite a few times (in the smaller express store) so I have only smelt a handful of scents but I am completely in love with them already! I have been eyeing up the Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream scent, until I went on their website and saw all of the other most incredible scents ever! (Apart from Play-Doh, I don’t think I will be too fond on that one to be honest haha)..
Go check out all of their scents here – I currently have £20 of Boots points on my card, so I might make a cheeky purchase tomorrow with them! These are usually £15, but a few select fragrances are £9.99 on their main website.

ColourPOP Lipstick

My last love is ColourPOP’s Lippie Stix which I have never tried. I saw one of Zoella’s YouTube videos  (I believe it was her Make Up Collection) where she mentions how incredible these products are and that they are super affordable!
I definitely want to give these a try, the only thing really stopping me is the delivery as it has to be International. Although I am sure there is probably somewhere else I can purchase them from in the UK..
Here is the ColourPOP website, incase you want to have a good look! The Lippie Stix are a whopping $5 each, which is incredible!

Hope you enjoyed my Beauty Wish List – I love to get new inspiration for products that I will love, so feel free to comment below what you are loving or are lusting for!

My January Favourites

January Boots Haul

So here we go again..
I needed to pick up some essentials in Boots and try not to end up purchasing things that I do not need (I’m aiming to reduce my spending!), so apologies for the basic items but I thought I’d still share them with you!

Firstly, I need some new conditioner as I run out. Usually I would try something completely different each time, so I can find the perfect one but I wasn’t feeling any of the offers in place. So I saw that Pantene was on offer and grabbed that – I have always been brought up using Pantene and have never had any problems, just left with silky soft hair! I opted to try the Breakage Defence one as I have never used this one – so I’ll let you guess know what I think later on!

dsc05872

Second product that I picked up was the Schwarzkopf Got2Be Guardian Angel Heat Defence Spray. I have used this in the past and it is one of my favourites! It smells incredible, leaves my hair silky soft and does the job of protecting my hair too. There’s nothing more that I can say about this really!

dsc05884

Just realising that all of these products are haircare.. but hey, the next product I needed to purchase was a good hair oil as my super thick hair tends to dry out a lot (although it never looks like it does). Believe me, it does..
I was browsing around for my usual Pantene one, but couldn’t see it anywhere (maybe they don’t do it any more, or it was in different packaging?) but after having a browse, I saw that Tresemme have a great new range of products called ‘Specialist’ which were all half price, so I jumped at the opportunity to try this one out!

This one is called the Oleo Radiance Oil Elixir which you can use on dry hair to help style, or on wet hair which I will be doing before I shampoo my hair. I feel like these are so much better to nourish my hair with and I know that some people are really scared of the idea of putting oil into your hair as they believe it can make it greasier. Even if you have oily hair, the oil you put in will basically balance it out and hopefully make a difference!
But for nourishment, this works an absolute treat for me!

dsc05903

Onto the last product, an all time essential that almost every single woman probably owns – good ole Batiste in Tropical! I did see the new 2-in-1 range they brought out, but as this one was on offer and I adore the scent so much – I thought that I would just pick this one up!
I haven’t used a dry shampoo in probably over a year, but since my holiday to Walt Disney World for Christmas (which I still need to write up a blog post on!) I have been wanting to use it again as I’m getting busier and busier recently!
It always works a treat with my hair, smells incredible, the boyfriend likes the scent and it doesn’t leave me hair white (probably because I’m a strawberry blonde already).

dsc05895

What have you guys been purchasing this month? Or do any of you have any spending bans going on recently or targets for the year? Let me know, I would absolutely love to hear them from you!

NYX Cardiff Blogger Event

So I was fortunate enough to get an invite to attend the NYX Cardiff Blogger Event at Boots last week.

The Boots store at St Davids has had a brand spanking new NYX counter for a few months and it’s been so chaotic there, especially with people after the Lingerie Lip Colours.

At the event, we were shown so many amazing new products, how to use them and I was treated to a cheeky little eyebrow tutorial from Jade who did an incredible job!
I am forever struggling to keep up with my eyebrow pencils running out on me and them wiping off after loads of activity BUT BEHOLD, Jade has found me a holy grail product – NYX Eyebrow Gel in Chocolate.

img_0008

I cannot rave enough about this product, Jade claims that you can sleep with these on and they’ll still be there and my god, she is correct! I definitely put these to the test and was really pleased – also, the fact that you have to use the tiniest bit of gel to cover both eyebrows, it’s going to last me so much longer than my pencils!

The NYX Counter looks outstanding at St Davids and has such a huge range of different products always in stock. At the Blogger Event, there was also the chance to purchase a small number of eyeshadow palettes at a discounted rate which were incredible value for money!

img_3441img_4568

The ladies hosting the event were so generous too by giving us a select few taster products to try out ourselves from brands such as The Body Shop, L’Oreal, Lancome and Vichy..
I’m still waiting to find the perfect time to try out a few of these products, so bare with me and expect to see some posts on what I think.

img_0026

Obviously I couldn’t leave empty handed either, so I decided to pick up a few items so I went with the NYX Lingerie in ‘Push Up’ as I thought it would be work appropriate, NYX Stacked Mascara to give me some length to my lashes and also the Eyebrow Gel in ‘Chocolate’ which is out of this world! So look out for some reviews on these products – I’ll be posting them soon!

I want to say a huge thanks to the ladies at NYX Cardiff for all their hard effort and knowledge that went into the event. I had such an amazing time and cannot wait to see some future events from these ladies!
What is your favourite NYX product and why? I’d love to know!

MAC So Chaud Lipstick Review

It was my birthday on Saturday and I decided to treat myself to a new MAC Lipstick. I went for So Chaud, as I have reds, oranges but not both combined. I always go for Rebel and Plumful on a daily basis, so I need to find my next favourite bright pop of colour!
I am loving So Chaud so far! I put it on today, it’s not too orangey, not too red either. It is a great, fun colour and especially for my skin tone, even if I’m not feeling like myself, I can whack this on and my mood is instantly lifted!

It is a matte finish, it feels slightly matte but a little bit of lip balm will sort it out a treat! I feel like it is definitely not as drying as Diva or Viva Glam V!

You do have to reapply after eating, so I am probably going to look into a lip liner either the same colour as this or a slight off colour that I can use with several and give a ombre effect!

Overall, a great colour, great addition to my ‘collection’ and a wise choice all in all!
What is your favourite MAC Lipstick of all time? Mine is definitely Rebel!
